Kinloch

Kinloch na dal Ceann Loch na Dàlach (the head of the loch of the waiting) This was the anchorage used by boats waiting for the tide to run northwards through Kylerhea so they could get through safely.

Lord Loudon (a Campbell) and Duncan Forbes of Culloden, both ardent government supporters, took refuge here in April 1746 at the time of the Battle of Culloden.
